What kind of spray system do you need?

Here are your two main Fuji Spray choices:

  • Compressor Spray Guns - Under the brand Fuji Auto, 6 different spray guns designed by compressor size and best fluid type used. For example, one spray gun is ideal for painting a car, another gun ideal for clear coats.

Note that either type will spray a variety of finishes, so your main choice is based on these questions:

Answers that guide you to Compressor Spray Guns:

  • Do you have or want to buy a compressor big enough to use one of these spray guns?

  • Do you work in one space large enough to keep a compressor?

  • Do you want mainly to refinish cars or other large equipment?

Answers that guide you to HVLP Systems and Spray Guns:

  • You want mainly to spray wood and/or metal, or make or varnish paintings.

  • You may want to work in more than one place.

  • You’d like a spray system you can store when you’re not using it.

A third choice: Spray Tanning Turbines and Applicators - Under the brand Fuji SUNLESS.

These are your obvious choice if this is the spraying you want to do.

Note that Fuji SUNLESS turbines can only be used for spray tanning, not for spraying paint or varnishes.

Spray Systems Fuji Spray does not make:

Airless Sprayers - For painting very large surfaces fast.

Mainly used by painting contractors who specialize in painting houses and other large buildings, these use much higher pressure, which requires special training to use safely. They make more overspray, so for large surfaces indoors, the total labor time includes more cleanup time than with the types Fuji Spray makes.

Fuji Spray systems are also better for the environment. See my article, “Fuji Spray Blue is the New Green.”

Cheaper DIY sprayers

You can buy a much less expensive DIY sprayer — so why buy a Fuji Spray system? In another article, I give 8 reasons NOT to buy a cheaper sprayer.

The gist of it:

  • better finish results, comfort, and less overspray in the short run, and

  • versatility, durability and repairability in the long run, and

  • better for the environment always.
